Business Network for Growth

The Business Growth Centre is pleased to launch the Lake Macquarie Business Network – networking events designed to help your business grow.

The first of the networking events will be a business breakfast at Brownsugar Restaurant, Warners Bay on Thursday 15 October from 7am.

Darren Rudd, Lead Community Affairs Manager for NBN Co, will be the keynote speaker at the breakfast event and will share an update on the way forward for the NBN and what it means for businesses within the city. Sharon Pope, Manager, Integrated Planning for Lake Macquarie City Council will also share an insight into the digital strategy for the city and both speakers will be on hand to answer attendees’ questions.

The Lake Macquarie Business Network was conceived by the Business Growth Centre as an event that specifically encouraged business growth within Lake Macquarie. Both the networking and insights provided by the speakers at each event will give attendees the tools and information to improve business functionality, build their customer base and grow.

Business Growth Centre Manager, Brett Gleeson advised that these bi-monthly events will not only provide an opportunity for attendees to connect with like-minded business people but they will also gain valuable insights into the city in which they operate, as well as business ideas and innovations:

“It is our intention that the speakers for each event will impart valuable information on a variety of interesting and relevant topics that attendees can use to not only grow their knowledge, but to discover ways to improve and build their business. At each event attendees will also be given the opportunity to network with fellow business people and build their profile. It is these opportunities that position the Lake Macquarie Business Network as a conduit for growth. ”
